Benchmarking
============

I'd like to write some standardized benchmarks on this stuff.
But writing benchmarks is tricky.

I am confident these optimizations make a big difference.
It has been proven over and over in real-world applications.

Nevertheless, benchmarks are a good idea.

It's on my list of things to do.
